Branded keyrings with your logo
Branded keyrings for businesses are one of the few giveaways people carry every day for years. That is why the material, the weight in the hand and a well-judged engraved logo matter. You choose the model and see the mock-up with your logo before you pay.

PlusAn item handled every day: the material matters more than the logo
Branded keyrings are not just looked at, they are handled: they go in and out of pockets, get dropped on the floor and knock against keys and phones. A metal one with a laser-engraved logo lasts for years without losing the branding; one printed with ink on thin plastic can lose the logo within months and end up in a drawer. When you choose, look first at the material and the split ring or carabiner, and only then at the logo size.
The price difference per unit between a poor keyring and a decent one is small; the difference in lifespan is measured in years. And a small, one-colour logo, properly centred, reads better on a piece of three or four centimetres than one that tries to fill the whole area. The fitting matters too: a flat, thick ring holds more keys than a thin one, a carabiner lets you clip it to a bag and a retractable clip avoids taking keys off your belt. Also check the edges: a piece with polished edges will not scratch a phone or wear through a pocket lining.
Materials and branding techniques
| Material | What it is like | Branding that lasts best | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zinc alloy (zamak) | Weighty, with the feel of a quality piece; works well with shaped designs and polished edges | Laser engraving | Clients, anniversaries, handing over keys |
| Aluminium | Light and durable, often with a carabiner | Laser engraving, which leaves the logo in a silver tone | Wider distribution with a neat finish |
| Beech wood or bamboo | Warm and light; each piece has its own grain | Laser engraving, in a toasted tone | Campaigns with an environmental focus |
| Recycled plastic | Light and in bright colours | Pad printing or full-colour print | Events and large-scale distribution |
| Metal combined with bamboo | Two materials in one piece | Laser engraving on one side | Welcome gifts or desk items |
Each product listing shows the branding area and the techniques available for that model.
Keyrings that do more than one job
A keyring with an extra function gets used more and, as a result, seen more:
- With a trolley token: one of the most used, because it solves a small problem every week.
- With a bottle opener: useful at events, in summer and for younger teams.
- With a tape measure or spirit level: for installers, refurbishment firms, estate agents or architecture practices.
- In a house shape: for estate agents, home insurers or handing over the keys to a new office.
- With a carabiner or retractable clip: for anyone who keeps keys on a bag or belt.
- With a light: if you want something more complete, also look at our branded torches, which include keyring models.
What you can personalise
- The logo on one or two sides: laser engraving on metal, wood and bamboo; pad printing or full-colour print on plastic.
- Two messages on the same piece: the brand on one side and, on the other, a date, an anniversary or the name of an event.
- The price on each product page includes one-colour branding in the standard area; the second side, more colours or another technique are quoted in the quote.
- The colour of the item, on models that offer it, so you can get closer to your corporate colour without making the logo bigger.
- A bespoke shape, such as the outline of your logo or your product: request it in the quote. It needs a mould and a pre-production sample, extends the lead time and only makes sense for large quantities.
When a keyring makes sense (and when it does not)
A promotional keyring works in three situations: wide distribution at trade shows, where you need something that fits in a pocket and does not add weight to luggage, alongside the rest of your event merchandise; handing over actual keys, such as for joining an office, a company car or a locker; and anniversaries or internal milestones, where a metal piece with an engraved date works as a keepsake. Where it does not work is as the main gift: hardly anyone remembers receiving only a keyring.
That is why it works better as part of a set. With a branded pen and a notebook, it makes a smart welcome pack. Request a quote with the quantity and date: you receive it within 24 working hours with the free mock-up, you pay when you approve it, and production of a catalogue model normally takes two or three weeks. We ship with tracking to one address or several sites across the European Union.
